I visited Kashmir recently, in first November of this year. And I was so lucky that I saw the first snowfall of this season.
Winter is Kashmir is different. I cannot describe how beautiful it is. It's like different spots of the movie "Frozen". And yes unbearable cold for a traveller like me who is from warm country.
On 2nd November I visited Sonmarg, which is a famous village and tourist spot in Kashmir. Enjoy some photos captured by me when I visited that place.
Look at that truck. You can guess the density of snowfall!
Beautiful scene for us, but cold and hard day for those who live on those house.
Road was almost blocked because of heavy rainfall.
Sledge was available for tourist, but it was not that much interesting as it was driven by man with rope. :/
yeah, look at that! pathetic! But they insisted! Though I was happy to help the sledge driver with money.
You can only find this view in Kashmir. So keep Kashmir in your travel bucket.
